Allergy Test

It is important to do a patch test before colouring your hair to make sure that you are not sensitive (allergic) to any of the ingredients in your hair colour product.

The allergy test should be done 48 hours before you colour your hair because it can take 48 hours for a reaction to develop.

Simply get a little bit of the colour cream and apply a thin layer about 1cm x 1cm on the inside of your elbow.

Leave the product uncovered on the skin for 45 minutes and then wash the colour off carefully with lukewarm water.

If any reaction occurs during the processing time or during the following 48 hours, you should rinse immediately and not use this product.

Always consult your doctor if you have questions or concerns. If you’ve had a sensitivity to hair colour in the past, you may be more likely to have a reaction.

The test represents an important precaution. However, be aware that even if an allergy alert test has been carried out you may still experience an allergic reaction when you colour your hair. The allergy test is not a guarantee of avoiding future allergic reactions.
