Strand Test

A strand test lets you test the colour on your hair, so that you can see the colour result. The colour result may vary slightly from our images of the colour due to your existing colour, and a stand test allows you to test the colour result on your hair before you colour all your hair.

To perform a Strand test, please following the instructions for preparing and mixing the colour and apply it to a strand of hair and allow it to process for 35 minutes (or 45 if you have stubborn greys). Rinse and shampoo the hair to get an accurate look at the colour result.

You can just use a portion of your colour products for the strand test and save and reuse the remaining product.

The colour and developer must be mixed in the correct ratio.

The colour to developer ratio is 1:1.5. So, for example, you could use one exact teaspoon of colour product mixed with 1 1/2 teaspoons of developer to colour your test strand.

You can reuse all the remaining products. Just reseal the colour tube by putting the lids back on them, and you can seal the developer sachet with sticky tape if needed.
